GPRS Scans Concrete for Electrical Contractor – Madison, Wisconsin

GPRS was contacted by a large electrical contractor in Madison, WI. to scan areas of a precast wall prior to core drilling. The precast concrete wall was 10” in thickness and contained two layers of reinforcing. The GPR equipment was able to locate both layers of the reinforcing to allow the contractor to core safely through the wall. GPRS, Inc. scanned with 1600MHz GPR and SIR4000 unit during the scan. The equipment was able to reach into tight spaces allowing for a quicker scanning process. This allowed the electricians contractor to drill safely and to keep their project under budget.

The area needed to be scanned because the plumber needed to access to several sewer lines that were deep in the ground. GPRS was asked to scan the project area for conduit.
