Locating PT Cables at Parking Garage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. – GPRS – of Wisconsin was a contacted by a major general contractor to scan reinforcing on two faces of twenty-one overhead beams of a parking garage of a hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The purpose of the scanning was to identify the stirrups and post-tension tendons in order to evaluate the strength of the beams and to design new cross beams to be added to increase the structural integrity.

The site was very congested with shoring every few feet. Because of this, GPRS, Inc. scanned all the beams from a ladder! GPRS, Inc. was contacted only two days before the project started. The scanning of this large project was completed in four days and was on budget and completed in the exact time GPRS, Inc. anticipated completion. Before anchoring, drilling, coring, cutting or designing new added concrete structures your first call should be to GPRS! Often, building plans are outdated, missing, or inaccurate and this could cause major problems for your project. Contact Chris Geary by phone at any time at 414-795-6845 to discuss your project.
